Social Networking For The Classroom Teacher

Social Networking for purposes of this class include: Facebook (FB), Twitter and Blogging. Each tool will have it's own blog that we may use to discuss and post issues. Even though we will use blogging as the central website for communication both FB and Twitter are much more widely used. However, for your personal classroom purposes you may find blogging a more effective way to communicate, especially since most schools won't allow students to use FB. As this class moves along be thinking about projects that you may complete in the class as well as outside the class for your own use with students, staff, family and friends. The type of projects you choose are entirely up to you. Choose ones to create that will be most useful to you as a professional. You may find personal projects for family and friends useful as well.
